PAN officers and members at the October 22, 2005 meeting voted unanimously in favor of reimbursing member clubs who sponsor PA coin shows $100.00 co-pay towards local advertising.
For example, if a member club spends $100.00 on local ads PAN will reimburse the club $50.00 If a member club spends $200.00 on local ads PAN will reimburse the club $100.00.
The co-pay monies for ads must not include national advertising (such as Coin World, Numismatic News, etc.) - local newspaper ads only.
All the member club officer need do is advertise your coin show. Submit to PAN bills for local newspapers to show your cost of up to $200.00. PAN will co-pay up to $100.00 and reimburse the member club directly. Send your request to PAN: Attn: Kathy Sarosi, PAN President, PO Box 10607 Lancaster PA 17605.
With fourteen (we count) member clubs who sponsor shows PAN has committed $1400.00 to help promote the hobby and increase awareness of local PA clubs and PA shows! We will vote again next year at the October meeting of the PAN show on this endeavor. For now, 2006 is approved. Limit of one request per club per year as some club sponsor more than one show annually.
There is a catch. With your request for reimbursement you must send us an article on your show or club that may be published in the Clarion. This can be: what your club does, interesting things that may have happened at the show or a meeting, neat ideas your club utilizes to increase membership or attendance, etc. The size can be a nice paragraph to several pages - its up to you.
