The Story of the Pennsylvania Commemorative Quarter

Early in 1998, PAN Chairman of the Board Don Carlucci was asked to serve on the committee to help Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge choose a design for the Pennsylvania commemorative quarter.  This exhibit displays some of Don's correspondence, photographs, and other memorabilia of his service on the committee.
 
 

This letter, dated February 11, 1998 announces the time and place of the selection committee meeting.
The Committee met at the Governor's Mansion in Harrisburg.
This photo shows the entire committee.
From the right, this photo shows Don Carlucci with State Treasurer Barbara Hafer, Lucy Gnazzo, and Brent Glass.
The entire Committee signed this postcard of the Governor's residence.
This followup  letter is dated March, 1998
Former Governor Ridge showed his appreciation with a signed photograph.
The is a signed copy of Gov. Ridge's July 1, 1998 letter to Treasury Secretary Rubin announcing his final design selection.
